arrival of our first child. I loved the fact that partners were so actively involved, and that there
was such a healthy emphasis on the way in which our bodies are built to help us give birth. This

My husband and I attended Birthingmatters as well as another class led by a birth-educator.
Having the Birthingmatters Midwives teaching made a real difference.The other class was good
but the Midwives taught from their training and long experience..straight from the horses
mouth so to speak..whereas the other lady used a lot of friends' anecdotes which was a bit
scary at times. Emma & David

A very big thank you to Louise for the antenatal class, it was most informative and gave me
huge confidence as the big day arrived. We were told what we were to expect and different
scenarios should things not go to plan. I ended up being induced and having a C-Section, but
having run through what all of this meant allowed me to maintain a calm approach. This was
helped by the various breathing exercises that we were shown. I would recommend, and have
recommended, Louise to many of my Mum-to-be friends. It was a simple, yet re-assuring and

David and I greatly benefitted from your friendly antenatal classes before the birth of our first
child. You gave us the confidence to write a realistic birth plan that fully explained the birth we
hoped to have. You also gave us the knowledge and understanding that we would have to be
flexible when the time came. Helped by a brilliant midwife at the Whittington we had a very
positive experience indeed - even though things didn't go quite to plan right at the end and we
needed intervention before the safe arrival of our beautiful little boy. Thank you so much.
