BirthingMatters was established in 2006, in response to a growing demand for antenatal
education and information.
We are two registered, practising midwives who are committed to women-centred care. Our
aim is to provide women with sufficient information to make informed choices with regard to
the kind of labour and delivery they would like to have. This naturally leads on to help and
advice with what to expect in the first days of baby's life, including breastfeeding.
We also recognize the importance of the role of the father and understand the importance of
dad's inclusion in the birthing process.
FROM JANUARY 2012 - FIRST AID SESSION FOR NEW AND EXPECTANT PARENTS
This session teaches how to deal with emergency situations, including resuscitation of babies
and children.
It will also enable you to recognise the signs of serious illness and severe allergic reaction.
Teaching is practical and designed to give skills and confidence.
The providers (Catapult Services) have worked closely with BirthingMatters to ensure that
the session is tailor-made to suit the needs of our couples.
Please contact us if you would like more information.
